About the Topic:
“The Race of the Rabbit & the Turtle” Over the years, Hong Kong has been well regarded as a regional financial powerhouse and gateway into China. However with the record levels of urbanisation, strong economic growth and the emergence & embracing of eCommerce, Mainland China has rapidly climbed to being the 2nd largest economy in the world. What are the major projects and significant events that have underpinned this rise ? What lessons from past projects can Hong Kong learn from and what initiatives, innovations, projects can they undertake to stimulate its economy and become an eCommerce and Internet finance hub in the future ? What are the critical success factors that will define successful delivery ? What are the risks that exist and how can they be mitigated ?
This month’s evening seminar will investigate these themes through sharing of stories and projects of how the general public and companies are conducting business in China, the mass adoption of mobile and online commerce and the complimentary approach to infrastructure development.
